Capital IIT invites you to our special meeting and discussion on “INDIA RISING,” which involves a variety of challenges and opportunities, including relations with the USA and global commerce.

Keynote Speaker

Ashank Desai

Mr. Ashank Desai is a Distinguished Alumnus from IIT Bombay, Mr. Ashank Desai, Chairman and Founder of Mastek, a publicly traded company and a pioneer in the IT Industry in India. He is also an alumnus of IIM – Ahmedabad. He is the among the founders of NASSCOM and past Chairman. He was the President of the Asian-Oceanic Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), and Prime Minister Modi has recognized him for his yeoman’s service to the IT industry. He is also the Chairman of the WHEELS Global Foundation in India – an initiative of PanIIT and Capital IIT. Most recently Mr. Desai has donated generously to IIT Bombay to create the Ashank Desai center for Public Policy, and at IIM Ahmedabad Mr. Desai has set up a program on Leadership and Organization.


Ambassador Pradeep Kapur

Ambassador Pradeep Kapur served as Clinical Professor, International Trade, Development and Security Issues. He is a graduate of IIT Delhi. As an officer of the Indian Foreign Service, he attained the rank of Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in 2013. He served first as India’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia and later as ambassador to the Republic of Chile.

Atul Mathur

Mr. Atul Mathur is the President of Capital IIT – a chapter of PanIIT USA. He is also the co-chair of iit2024 – Global Conference hosted by PanIIT in Washington DC in Jan 2024. He graduated from IITKanpur with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and currently serves as Principal and CIO at Credence Management Solutions. 

Ratan Agarwal

Mr. Ratan Agarwal, President of WHEELS Global Foundation. Ratan has three decades of rich experience in building and scaling multiple new start-ups and executive roles (in strategy, operations, marketing, and business development) at Fortune 500 companies. Ratan is a co-founder and managing partner of CARBON Group Global, a sustainability solutions-holding company, creating rapid replications of proven solutions with market-based models in Education & Learning, Women’s Empowerment, Resources (Food, Energy, Water), Health, and Economic Development.
